Zhouyi BenyiLine statement
典 indicates the rhyme and sound for the carrying ring (鉉).
The fifth line holds the image of the ears and possesses central virtue, hence it is called 'yellow ears.' Metal is a hard, firm substance, running through the ears to lift the cauldron.
The fifth line is hollow in the center to correspond with the hard firmness of Nine in the Second Place; hence its image is such, and its omen is simply that benefit lies in steadfast perseverance. Some say the golden ring refers to Top Nine; this requires further investigation.
The top line holds the image of the carrying ring; being yang in a yin position, it is firm yet gentle, hence it holds the image of jade. Its omen is supreme good fortune, with nothing that does not bring benefit. For if one has this virtue, it will be as divined.
