The fifth line is firm and yang, central and correct, dwelling in the honored position, and it obtains a harmonious resonance with the central and correct Six in the Second Place to carry out its increase; what could be unfavorable?
Yang substantiality in the center is the image of having sincerity.
With the virtue, talent, and position of Nine in the Fifth Place, its innermost core is devoted with utmost sincerity to bestowing benevolence and increase upon all beings; its supreme goodness and great good fortune can be known without asking, hence 'do not question it; supreme good fortune.'
When a ruler of men occupies the position from which accomplishments are realized and wields the authority to realize them, if he benefits the world with utmost sincerity, the world will receive his great blessing; its supreme good fortune needs no words.
'With sincerity, he blesses our virtue': when a ruler of men benefits all under heaven with utmost sincerity, all people under heaven revere him with utmost sincerity, taking the ruler's virtuous bounty as their benevolence.

Benefiting the people in accordance with what is beneficial to them is benevolence without extravagance; this is the benevolence of the heart.
Having sincerity to bestow from the heart satisfies the desires of all things; thus naturally, without waiting to inquire, there is 'supreme good fortune, having sincerity, he blesses our virtue.'
Bestowing upon things with sincerity, things respond in kind; therefore it is said, 'with sincerity, he blesses our virtue.'

Sub-commentary: Nine in the Fifth Place attains the position and dwells in honor, serving as the master of Increase, extending both virtue and righteousness to benefit all things.
'In bringing about increase, nothing is greater than sincerity; in bestowing benevolence, nothing is greater than the heart. Benefiting the people in accordance with what is beneficial to them is benevolence without extravagance; this is the benevolence of the heart.'
Possessing both benevolence and sincerity, it fulfills the wishes of all beings and will surely obtain supreme good fortune without need for doubt or questioning; hence 'having sincerity, he blesses the heart; do not question it; supreme good fortune.'
